- Islamic Penal Code 將所有同性性活動刑事化。刑罰由鞭刑到死刑。呢啲刑罰對 18 歲以下嘅兒童亦都適用。
- 政府容許、同埋可能資助性別重置手術，對象係被正式診斷有「gender identity disorder」嘅人。法律性別只喺手術、另一個性別嘅荷爾蒙、絕育同法庭程序之後先承認。筆記記錄 1980 年代 Khomeini 教令授權變性手術，之後反映喺 2013 Family Protection Law。
- 同性戀被當成要用迴轉治療或者性別重置去「corrected」嘅嘢。一啲唔將自己認同為跨性別嘅人，感到被施壓或者強迫做手術，以避免歧視或者刑事控罪。
