UN report calls on governments to prohibit ‘gender transition’ for children

A new report from the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls warns that countries are failing to address both persistent and newly emerging forms of sex-based violence, including those that relate to gender ideology.

On 25 June 2025 Reem Alsalem, the UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, presented Sex-based violence against women and girls: new frontiers and emerging issues (A/HRC/59/47).
