Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Health covers opposite-sex hormones through primary care. The provincial health page tells residents to speak with a primary-care provider, who may start opposite-sex hormones or refer onward. Residents with a Saskatchewan health card are eligible for coverage of certain opposite-sex hormones on the Saskatchewan Formulary or under Exception Drug Status, through the Drug Plan and Extended Benefits Branch.
Schools. The Education (Parents’ Bill of Rights) Amendment Act, 2023 (Bill 137) requires parental consent before staff use a new gender-related preferred name or gender identity for a pupil under 16. That is Schools restriction.
