Sundhedsstyrelsen’s current public page still describes specialised assessment and treatment for children at Rigshospitalet. In December 2024 the authority opened a consultation (through 24 February 2025) on a new professional framework and guidance for gender incongruence.
The draft framework says the primary intervention for children and young people should be psychosocial support, including a requirement of persistent, long-term incongruence before considering medical treatment. That is a tightening on paper, in consultation. When the final adopted guidance is published, this card should be updated from the official SST text.
Schools. Sundheds- og seksualundervisning og familiekundskab is an obligatory folkeskole subject from kindergarten class through 9th. Fælles Mål names two competence areas, including køn, krop og seksualitet.
