Lithuania’s Minister of Health approved Order V-1307 on 4 August 2022 — the description of procedures for diagnosing and treating gender-identity disorder (transsexualism). The State Health Insurance Fund said that order creates a unified pathway for adults. It covers diagnosis and hormone treatment. It does not set a pediatric puberty blockers pathway.
The Constitutional Court struck the school-information clause. That is Schools mixed.
Lithuania had used Article 4(2)(16) of the Law on the Protection of Minors against the Detrimental Effect of Public Information to treat information about family models other than opposite-sex marriage as harmful to minors — including in what children could be shown. On 18 December 2024 the Constitutional Court held that provision incompatible with Articles 25 and 38 of the Constitution and the rule-of-law principle. The limit was not clear; it narrowed the constitutional content of the family.
