The Dutch Protocol is the original experiment. On 30 June 2026 the Health Council of the Netherlands delivered advice on somatic transgender care for people under 18, requested by the Minister of Health after parliamentary motions. The quality standard is being revised. The cabinet said it would study the advice and respond.
Treatments remain available after assessment.
Schools. Staatsblad 2012, 470 (in force 1 December 2012 by Stb. 2012, 594) rewrote the national kerndoelen so pupils learn to deal respectfully with seksualiteit and diversiteit, waaronder seksuele diversiteit. Current primary-education kerndoel 38 still carries that sentence.
